Requirements

Desorix runs on ordinary shared hosting (cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin) as well as on a VPS.

Server

Requirement	Minimum	Notes
PHP	8.3	8.4 and 8.5 also work. On cPanel, pick the version in Select PHP Version (CloudLinux) or MultiPHP Manager.
Database	MySQL 8.0+ or MariaDB 10.6+	One empty database and a user with all privileges on it.
Cron	One job, every minute	Drives the scheduler and background jobs.
HTTPS	Required	Meta only sends webhooks to HTTPS URLs. A free Let's Encrypt / AutoSSL certificate is fine.
Disk	1 GB + media	About 250 MB for Desorix, plus room for updates (the new version is unpacked next to the old, and the last two updates are kept as backups). Received WhatsApp media is stored under storage/app.

You do not need SSH, Node.js, Redis, Supervisor or websockets.

PHP extensions

These must be enabled (in cPanel: Select PHP Version → Extensions):

pdo_mysql (or nd_pdo_mysql), mysqli (or nd_mysqli), mbstring, fileinfo, openssl, xml, dom, curl, zip, bcmath, intl, gd, tokenizer, ctype, json, exif, sodium.

The PHP functions proc_open and escapeshellarg should not be listed in disable_functions. The scheduler uses them to run background jobs.

Folder permissions

The web server must be able to write to storage/ and bootstrap/cache/ (and everything inside them). The installer also needs to create .env in the application folder, and the updater needs to write to the application folder itself (755 folders owned by your cPanel user, the default).

Checking a server

After uploading the files you can check everything at once:

• Without a shell: the web installer shows this checklist on its first screen.
• With a shell: php artisan desorix:check
• After installation: Admin → System shows the same checks, plus whether the cron job is running.
